My diving started in 1996 after a holiday to Queensland visiting the Great Barrier Reef. This was soon to become an obsession. Diving in Melbourne was a great introduction to Wreck diving especially having four WW1 J Class Submarines and the Ships' Graveyards to explore. Diving the wrecks also gave me an interest in the history of these ships and with wanting to better my skills as a wreck diver the next step was to take up Cave Diving.

I am now a regular visitor to Mt. Gambier where the fresh water caves are easily accessed by divers. I have always enjoyed the outdoors and looking for a challenge. So the exploration and technical sides of Cave Diving fulfill the adventure.

My favorite dive site would be Tank Cave in Mt. Gambier and with about 8km of under water passage and more to find makes this one of Australia's most technical and complex systems.
Diving in the caves in Mexico is my favorite overseas destination. There are so many sites to dive you can't name only one favourite.

Since I have taken up diving it's given me the chance to travel and visit some of the worlds best kept secrets that only a handful of people will get to see with their own eyes. There is a magical feeling seeing something that only a few people have experienced first hand.

As an Instructor, I get a lot of satisfaction out of teaching at all levels of diving and specializing in Cave Diving.

I've been teaching at Academy Of Scuba since it first opened in 2000 and it has given me the chance to teach and share my diving experience with other divers looking for the escape of the 9 to 5 work week. It has always had a large social club and has given me the opportunity to meet some great friends.
