each day? (on typical course leave this time free but we usually finish earlier
or sometimes later)
Theory night- 7-9pm
Shore Dives- 12-7pm (non daylight savings) 2-10pm (daylight savings time)
Boat Dives- around 5-6 hours but start time depends on
what time the boat leaves.
Where will the sessions be conducted?

Shore dives- Typically at Portsea pier
Boat Dives- typically leaving from Portsea pier
Do I need my own transport?
No. Although it helps to cart around your diving gear we can usually get our
instructors or other students to give you a lift to where you need to be. Just let us know if you need us to
arrange transportation.
If I don’t have a car how do I get to your shop?
Tram 72 stop… is out the front of our shop or you can
catch any Glen Waverley train and get off at Gardiner station, walk up the hill
50m and you are at our front door.
Do most people come home in between night dives on the Saturday night and the boat dives on the Sunday?
With our accommodation at Rye most people choose to stay there. This saves driving to and from the beach in a 12 hour period.
Can I bring my friends?
Most certainly. Invite all your family and
friends. If you have 4 people not
only will we give you a discount but we will also run a private course for you.
What if I want to do a different adventure dive?
Our course structure includes 3 shore dives and 2 boat
dives. You must complete the
navigation and deep adventure dive for your advanced open water
certification. If you wanted to do
different adventure dives just let us know and based on group consensus we will
try and make this happen for you.
Do I need a diving medical?
You still need to be fit to dive. Even though you don’t need an actual
valid diving medical, your involvement in this course is subject to a medical
questionnaire.
What if I have already done some of my
adventure dives for this course? Do they still count?
Yes. We need proof through your log book and training record and
then we can finish any other dive for you. Prices do get reduced if you are not completing all
dives. Contact our staff for more
information.
