IANTD Technical Diver Course
After certification the diver will have the skills necessary to track
all levels of the dive (bottom time and ascent time including
decompression stops), how to plan and field operational procedures,
make informed decisions on multiple gas decompression use, understand
completely decompression obligation. Gear configuration is also an
important feature of the course.
This Program is designed to train
divers to conduct dives to 54metres sea water using custom blend mixes. It further develops diving skills through the teaching of the complete
limits of any EANx mixture. This course enables you to take the next step in your diving . Technical Diver is a prerequisite for Trimix Diver program.
This course incorporates two nights of theory and five dives. During training divers are taught the use
of EANx and 100% oxygen decompression . Some of the skills performed during this course
are:
- Buoyancy techniques
- Valve shutdowns
- Removal and replacement of stage
cylinders
- Gas sharing
- Smb deployment from depth
- Performance of out of
air scenarios
Prerequisites for the course are to hold a IANTD Advanced Nitrox Certification, or equivalent and have 100 logged dives or sufficient
experience to satisfy the instructor.

- Twins Tanks
- Sling tanks
x2 with regs
- Slate
- Surface marker bouy
- An 80m reel
- Two torches
- A spare mask
- IANTD

- A bottom timer
