I learned to dive 20 years ago this year.... wow am I that old? I always loved the ocean and learning to dive was a given for me. Ever since my first Scuba lesson I was hooked and my life has been dictated by diving ever since.
I enjoy teaching or assisting on all of my courses. Seeing students improve their skills in whatever they decide to do with their diving is a privilege. I think I have one of the best jobs around!

Working with Kat and Trav at Academy is fantastic for a few reasons. Kat and Trav are very down to earth and this reflects in the dive team they have built for the store. The team here is very professional and extremely well trained. They are also passionate about diving and getting people involved in our sport. Socially I couldn't be involved with a better group of people both from the club and from the store.

One of the other great things about my job is all the dive trips I get to run. Townsville, Byron, and the Solomons have been my latest three. Next year the list of trips for our club is huge. Whilst the diving is different and exotic on these trips its the people that make it really fun. I have had an awesome time this year being involved with Academy both professionally and personally and am really looking forward to 2010!
