Melbourne Temperate Water Diving Orientation

On holidays or new to Melbourne diving? Never dived in cold water before? Let us show you our beautiful Melbourne waters and make sure you’re safe and comfortable diving here and ready to dive from boats! To be a safe diver off our boats, in Victoria you need to do a temperate water orientation dive. This is part of a Victorian code of practice that needs to be complied to. Sound really hard but really it is just a shore dive with one of our qualified divemasters or instructors. We will introduce you to the beauty of the bay and also make sure your buoyancy is correct and you are correctly weighted.

Orientation for Melbourne Diving Schedule-

Group Dives - Held in conjunction with our PADI programs or guided dives, this option will introduce you to one of Melbourne’s stunning piers while ensuring you’re comfortable and safe. We will ensure correct weighting to suit the thicker wetsuits used here. These are conducted most weekends.

Personalised one on one session- With your own personal PADI Instructor or Divemaster, you will do one or two dives at a location suitable for the conditions on the day. This is a great option if you need a refresher dive but can’t wait for one of our group sessions.

Prerequisites before doing your Melbourne Diving Orientation-

All you have to have is a diving certification
Your participation is subject to a medical questionairre.

Equipment Requirements for your Orientation Dive-

Equipment hire is additional and if needed, includes full scuba unit except personal items (mask, snorkel, boots and fins)
