PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Course

print_info.jpg

The underwater world has never been so accessible to photographers. With the advent of digital cameras we are no longer limited to 36 photos, and we have access to a raft of features such as scene modes and the ability to see the composition of the shot before you take it. Take this opportunity to learn some tips and tricks that will leave you with pictures to be proud of!

Both divers and snorkelers are able to join in this course and will receive a certification card. As a diver, this counts towards your Master Scuba Diver rating.

PADI Digital Photography Course Schedule-

Day one- Photography Theory Learn about the different types of camera available and what the features on the camera do. We’ll explain exposure, white balance and other features. We will go through proper composition as well as the best ways to take a photo. We’ll talk about when and if you should use a flash, and how to angle the camera.

Day 2- Ocean Dives We will do two shore dives so that you have lots of opportunity to practice new skills. In between each dive you will have a chance to go through your photos and our instructors will give you tips to improve on your skills.

Looking after the environment Buoyancy is very important in photography - you need to stay still so that you don’t blur the photo, and so that you don’t destroy the local underwater environment. We’ll go through some buoyancy principles on the course. A Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty is highly recommended to get the best out of your photography.
