Tim Muscat- Instructor I started diving in September 2008. I initially started snorkeling because i wanted to see what was under the water. I was always scared of deep water and not knowing what was above! Naturally snorkeling lead to increased curiosity with the ocean and I wanted to go under it, deeper. I practiced free diving in my local pool most afternoons and applied it diving to the bottom of piers and staying underwater for minutes at a time. The underwater progression lead to Scuba which I fell in love with so much that I knocked over all the courses leading to Divemaster in under a year counting over 80 dives in 10 months. My passion now lies in teaching others to dive.
Favourite dive site- Boarfish reef.
Favourite overseas destination- Haven't had the pleasure of going yet! Closest I've been is the Great Barrier Reef & Byron Bay.
What do I get from diving?- Fantastic experiences from doing a sport not many people get to try, meeting many new friends and satisfaction in teaching people to dive and enjoy it.
Favourite course to teach- Open water.
Why I am part of Academy of Scuba? Academy has the most fantastic club nights, meeting new people and catching up with mates. Talking about diving is the best way to spend a Thursday night! The staff and members at AOS are always friendly and keen to dive which makes it a perfect club to be apart of and share experiences in a sport I love.
