PADI Dry Suit Diver

The PADI Dry Suit Diver course with Academy of Scuba
Never be cold on a dive again!
Dive dry and warm, regardless of water temperature, all year round, in Melbourne and beyond. A drysuit works by sealing off your skin from the water and using a layer of air to insulate your body.
Becoming a dry suit diver allows you to expand your boundaries and dive more places, more often – plus it counts as one of your five specialty courses towards your PADI Master Scuba Diver certification. Scuba diving is fun, and being cold is not, so why waste your investment in learning to dive? Get drysuit certified today and dive whenever you want.
Convenience
Time is precious, and we want to be in the water doing what we love! That is why we conduct the PADI Dry Suit Diver course to be completed over 1 day. Through a confined water dive and 2 immersive open water dives you will have the necessary skills and the confidence to dive in a drysuit and start diving more often. The most surprising thing for our divers is they learn how easy it is to dive in a drysuit: staying warm, dry and not working too hard? Sounds good to us.
Personalisation
Academy of Scuba is committed to delivering expert teaching tailored to the individual’s needs, so that you gain the skills that will change your diving forever! That’s why we have low instructor to student ratios and great feedback. You will need to have your own drysuit for this course, and ideally your own BCD, so that we can tailor your weighting to the equipment you will always be diving in. Look out for our drysuit trial days through winter for great deals and huge savings!
Explore More
We scuba dive to explore the ocean, and not all of the ocean is warm! Some of the most stunning diving destinations exist in temperate to cold water – Melbourne included – and you will be able to enjoy them to the fullest in a drysuit. Imagine diving and temperature not being an issue! There is a reason why drysuit divers don’t regret their decision: being warm and dry means you dive more frequently, in more varied locations and make the most of your investment in diving.
The Cold Never Bothered Us Anyway
There is incredible diving in the world’s cooler regions and in some areas, conditions are even better in colder months. Melbourne has some of the most varied and interesting marine life in Australia, although it is not the warmest water. You may have already seen divers in dry suits – they’re the ones who don’t appear to be cold, or even wet! If you want to get the best out of the amazing diving on your doorstep in Melbourne, then diving dry is definitely the way to go. Remember, scuba diving is fun! If you are cold the fun is gone. Simple. You wouldn’t go skiing in bathers, would you? So don’t let the cold stop you from enjoying this amazing sport and the beautiful diving Melbourne has to offer: invest in your Melbourne diving by getting a drysuit and you will never go back.
